Field Pea, Soybean, Dry Bean, and Faba Bean Fields From All Across Manitoba Needed For 2026 Disease Survey

Manitoba Agriculture is pleased to share that they have launched a new sign-up system for the annual provincial field crop disease surveys. They are reaching out to agriculture producers willing to allow their their fields to be involved in the 2026 Manitoba survey. Staff from Manitoba Pulse & Soybean Growers and other producer associations, Manitoba Agriculture, or Agriculture and Agri Food Canada will scout participating fields to identify, rate, and record disease symptom observations and submit samples to labs for testing.

Allowing your fields to participate plays an important role in strengthening province-wide disease summaries and helps ensure that survey results remain relevant, accurate, and useful for disease monitoring and management across Manitoba.

We would also like to emphasize that all survey information is handled confidentially. Any publicly reported results will be summarized only at the Rural Municipality (RM) level, and no individual fields, companies, organizations or contributors will be identified.

Farmers will benefit by receiving field and lab reports of the diseases detected in their own fields that are part of the survey.

How to get your fields involved:

Sign up using the link (or QR code). The process takes only 1-2 minutes to complete:
