The On-Farm Network (OFN) got off to another great start this season with 27 pulse and soybean trials established across the province thus far. These include:
Soybean:
– Seeding speed – 9 trials
– Seeding rate – 3 trials
– Row spacing – 5 trials
– Nitrogen rates – 1 trial
– Plant biological inputs – 1 trial
– Inoculant – 2 trials
– On-Farm Precision Experiment (OFPE) – seeding rates -1 trial
Field pea:
– Seed treatment – 2 trials
Dry bean:
– Inoculant – 2 trials
– Row spacing – 2 trials
The OFN will add another 15 to 20 fungicide, fertility, plant biological input and herbicide type trials once the field sites have been identified.
