
- Seeding across the province progressed rapidly during much of last week given the record breaking warm weather and strong winds. But these conditions were causing a great deal of concern in regards to being able to seed into moisture. However, starting around Thursday of last week, the weather changed dramatically bringing cool temperatures and rainfall to most areas. Rainfall amounts varied from under 10 mm to greater than 50 mm. Seeding was halted but started to resume over the weekend in the lower rainfall areas.

- Soybean seeding has progressed very rapidly with many growers having completed their acres. Acres remaining are looking for soil temperatures to improve slightly.
- Field peas are emerging to VS stages across the province, with seeding complete across the province.
- Post-emergent weed control applications will begin shortly. Most post-emergent herbicides should only be applied up and including to the 6th true node stage (V6).
- Dry bean seeding began last week and is expected to make rapid progress this week as weather allows.
