MPSG Agronomists are looking for pea and faba bean fields all across the province to be included in the pea leaf weevil 2025 survey that is conducted for Manitoba Agriculture.
For this pea leaf weevil survey, 5 spots along the field edge are scouted by agronomists when the pea crop is at V3 to V6. The number of leaf notches per plant are counted as this directly relates to the population densities of adult weevils.
