2025 Soybean Variety Entry Form

Fill out the form below to submit your variety for testing in the 2025 Manitoba Soybean Variety Evaluation Trials.

In order for your variety to be included in the 2025 trials, entry forms must be received by MPSG by March 21. You will be notified on or before March 28 if your entry has not been accepted into the trials. Otherwise, please proceed to send bare (untreated) seed to Keith Murphy by April 11.

Ensure a signature is not required for courier deliveries. No refunds will be issued due to factors outside of our control (e.g., extreme weather). Also ensure entry forms have been received by MPSG before seed shipments arrive at their destination.

Select Your Trial Type – Soybean Trial Options

EASTERN MANITOBA OPTIONS – CHOOSE A MAXIMUM OF ONE TRIAL TYPE IN EASTERN:

Option A – EAST ($1200): Early to mid-season locations, maturity groups 000-00.5, 25,000 bare seeds. Site Locations: Arborg, Beausejour, Carman, Morris, Portage la Prairie, St. Adolphe and Stonewall.

Option B – EAST ($1200): Medium to long-season location, maturity groups 00.3-00.9, 20,000 bare seeds. Site Locations: Carman, Portage la Prairie, Morris and St. Adolphe.

Option C – EAST ($1200): Herbicide tolerant first-year entry trial, all maturity groups 00.3-00.9, 8,000 bare seeds. Site Locations: Carman, Morris and St. Adolphe. This trial is for first-year entries, where seed supplies are limited to 10,000 acres or less.

No trials in Eastern MB

WESTERN MANITOBA OPTIONS – CHOOSE A MAXIMUM OF ONE TRIAL TYPE IN WESTERN:

Option D – WEST ($1200): Herbicide Tolerant First-Year Entry Trial , all maturity groups suited to Manitoba. Site Locations: Hamiota, Melita and Souris. This trial is for first-year entries, where seed supplies are limited to 10,000 acres or less. 8,000 bare seeds

Option E – WEST ($1200): including Swan River. Herbicide Tolerant Trial , 17,000 bare seeds. Site Locations: Dauphin, Hamiota, Holland, Melita, Souris and Swan River.

Option F – WEST ($1200): excluding Swan River. Herbicide Tolerant Trial , 17,000 bare seeds. Site Locations: Dauphin, Hamiota, Holland, Melita and Souris (Swan River site excluded due to variety maturity).

Option G – WEST ($1200): Conventional Trial , 12,000 bare seeds. Site Locations: Melita, Swan River and new in 2024 Souris.
