The purpose of variety performance testing is to provide Manitoba farmers and agronomists with independent information on yield, maturity and other agronomic characteristics specific to each crop. This information is summarized in the guide and designed to help you select the best varieties for your farm and growing region in Manitoba.

- Using data from the 2022 soybean variety trials, this excel tool auto-generates a highlighter test. Once you select a variety from the drop-down list on the right side of the spreadsheet, varieties that yielded significantly more than your selection will be highlighted in green and varieties that yielded significantly less will be highlighted in red based on each site’s individual LSD value.
