The commodity groups involved in amalgamation talks would like your input and direction and are requesting your attendance at the regional meeting taking place in your area. This is a milestone process – one that has been and needs to continue to be driven by farmers.
Meeting dates and locations:
- St. Jean Farm Days presentation – January 10 – 1 P.M. – St. Jean Centennial Hall, 203 Caron St., St. Jean Baptiste
- Dauphin, MB meeting – January 11 – 1 P.M. – 1457 Main St. S., Dauphin (Super 8 Motel)
- Stonewall, MB meeting – January 12 – 10 A.M. – South Interlake Ag Society, 6018 E 75N Rd., Stonewall
- Brandon Ag Days presentation – January 16 – 3 P.M. – Keystone Centre, 1175 18th St., Brandon
The meetings provide a venue for you, our farmer members, to discuss a potential commodity group amalgamation as outlined in a report published in December, 2017.
The report, which is available at the following website: www.mbcrops.ca, serves as a roadmap, the destination of which is a farmer-driven, grassroots organization that will increase efficiencies, increase impact and deliver more value to Manitoba farmers.
